Area of expertise

Rapid prototyping — our home ground

Prototyping is where we compress your schedule. Engineering and production share one floor, so a board spin, enclosure print or jig revision moves from decision to physical part in days — prototype PCB assembly typically turns around in one to two weeks in-house.

Every iteration is built on the same line that will run your production, so each prototype teaches you about your product — not about someone else’s process.

Services

Our manufacturing services

From pilot runs to scale, we bridge the gap between small production batches and higher-volume contract manufacture. We achieve this through our own in-house production facility and our network of international EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Service) providers.

Engineering bridge

Designed for manufacture from day one

The fastest production ramp is designed, not discovered. Our production engineers review every layout and enclosure before it is frozen — panelisation, test-point strategy, tolerance stacks and component lifecycle — so first articles behave like the hundredth unit.

It is the same discipline our Product Development stream engineers against from the first schematic — which is why designs arrive on this floor ready to build.

Facilities

Our in-house facilities

Our offices and factory are conveniently located together in the inner suburbs of Melbourne, Australia—including an advanced manufacturing department optimised for electronic prototyping and assembly. Onsite, we have equipment for:

  • High-density surface-mount PCB assembly (PCBA)
  • Robotic-assisted through-hole assembly
  • Small to medium volume production, including testing and verification

Our spacious workshop means we can work quickly and easily on large connected products, such as Cloud Farming's Fieldbot and the recently launched Petminda pods. Beyond electronics assembly, we have extensive prototyping and production equipment for:

Fliteboard

David Trewern imagined gliding over water on a hydrofoil run entirely on clean and quiet electric power. Working alongside Flite and their partners, we have brought his vision to life.
